History of the „Sixty Points of Wiev” exhibition
Material of the „Sixty Points of Wiev” exhibition was collected by Basa Ottóné Révész Erzsébet Art teacher from the pieces of art work of the students drawn in the art lessons of the former Kossuth Lajos Primary School. The moto of the exhibition was „ On Behalf of Mothers and Children”and it was organised to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the date when Hatvan became a town.
The exhibition was opened on 29 April 2005 in the Ady Endre Public Library and Community Centre and it could be visited for two weeks. How do 60 children from our school see the world? Watching the pictures you will find the answer to this question. A lot of children and their parents came to the opening ceremony. They could enjoy a very nice programme in which participated children from kindergarten, from our school, the choir of our school, the Grassalkovich Choir, and at the end we listened to Renaissance music played by artists in original costumes. The best students got valuable presents from the headmistress Harangozó Miklósné. In the exhibition 10 drawings of Csango-Hungarian children from Moldova, Romania were also shown.
The Association of Hungarian Art Teachers liked our exhibition very much and they invited it to Budapest to the House of Hungarian Culture. So visitors could enjoy here the nice pictures of the young artists from 8 August to 30 August.
The Art teachers the Hungarian Culture Foundation and some generous people from Hatvan raised money to invite to the exhibition and host 8 Csango children and their teacher . We organised a very nice programme for them for a week time. They live in very hard conditions in their villages in Romania. They don’t have waterpipes, in some houses hey don’t have electricity, they can learn Hungarian only in the afternoon. Some people from Hatvan financially promote their Hungarian learning. They are welcomed in our exhibition. We hope they will have built a new Hungarian school in some years time and they be able to study in better conditions. We also believe in the power of love which can make things better.
